· 10+ years of hands-on SAP FICO consulting experience, including multiple full-cycle implementations, rollouts, or major transformation programs.
· Strong hands-on knowledge of Mexico SAP localization and statutory requirements.
· Demonstrated experience with Mexico electronic invoicing / CFDI processes and related SAP integrations.
· Demonstrated experience with Mexico Electronic Accounting requirements and statutory reporting.
· Practical knowledge of IMMEX-related processes and their SAP integration impacts.
· Strong understanding of Mexican finance, accounting, tax, and compliance processes relevant to SAP FICO.
· Ability to independently lead requirements workshops, solution design discussions, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
· Fluent English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
· Willingness and ability to work onsite in Mexico at least 50% of the time.
· Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
· Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and/or S/4HANA conversion or rollout programs.
· Experience integrating SAP with PAC providers, banks, tax engines, customs solutions, or third-party compliance platforms in Mexico.
· Experience in manufacturing, automotive, consumer products, industrial, or other sectors with significant Mexico operations.
· Knowledge of intercompany, transfer pricing, import/export, customs, and maquiladora-related business processes.
· SAP certification in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, or S/4HANA Finance is a plus.
· Onsite presence: Minimum 50% in Mexico, depending on project phase and business needs.
· Travel: Must be comfortable with regular travel to Mexico project locations.
· Working style: Senior, hands-on consultant capable of operating independently while collaborating with global and local teams.
· Communication: Must be able to conduct workshops, requirement discussions, and stakeholder communication in both English and Spanish.
· Lead SAP FI/CO solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support for Mexico operations.
· Own Mexico localization requirements and ensure SAP processes comply with local accounting, tax, and statutory regulations.
· Configure and support core SAP FI areas, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, and financial closing.
· Configure and support SAP CO areas, including Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and profitability-related processes as applicable.
· Design and support Mexico electronic invoicing processes, including CFDI-related integration, validation, cancellation, payment complements, and interfaces with authorized certification providers/PACs.
· Support Mexico Electronic Accounting requirements, including Chart of Accounts, trial balance, journal entries, and statutory reporting/integration requirements.
· Provide functional support for IMMEX-related business and compliance processes, including integration points with procurement, inventory, manufacturing, customs, and finance.
· Work closely with Tax and Finance teams to translate Mexican legal and fiscal requirements into sustainable SAP solutions.
· Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP, integration, middleware, and external localization vendors on enhancements and interfaces.
· Lead fit-gap analysis, workshops, solution validation, SIT/UAT support, cutover planning, data migration validation, and hypercare activities.
· Coordinate integration with SAP MM, SD, PP, Treasury, and other relevant modules to ensure end-to-end process consistency.
· Provide issue resolution, root-cause analysis, documentation, user training, and knowledge transfer to business and support teams.
